Home Districts Sunrise District

The Sunrise District includes the easternmost communities in the United States, such as Eastport and Lubec, along with Machias—home of Helen’s Restaurant—and Calais, which sits on the U.S.–Canada border and serves as the gateway to St. Stephen, New Brunswick. Agriculture and fishing shape the region, with areas like Columbia Falls (home of Wreaths Across America) and Cherryfield, the Blueberry Capital of the World.

With rugged coastline, rivers, forests, and vibrant small towns, the Sunrise District offers Scouts unique adventures, rich cultural experiences, and strong support for local Scouting programs—helping youth build skills, confidence, and a love for the outdoors.
