Our Mission

Since August 1920, KAC’s mission has been:

“To serve others by helping to instill values in young people and, in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime in achieving their full potential.”

Our Vision

KAC envisions Scouting America as the nation’s premier youth program for character development and values-based leadership training. Our goal is to continue providing programs that:

  • Offer young people responsible fun and adventure.
  • Instill lifetime values and cultivate ethical character, as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law.
  • Train youth in citizenship, service, and leadership.
  • Serve America’s communities and families with a high-quality, values-based program.

Through this mission and vision, KAC empowers Scouts to grow as individuals, contribute to their communities, and embrace opportunities that shape them into responsible, ethical leaders.
